Our site is devoted to the needs and interests of serious shin hanga collectors, our members. Site content is created and maintained by the members, for our mutual education and to benefit individual collecting interests.
This means that we are not a comprehensive resource on shin hanga. Most of our members already own or have studied a good number of prints, have received plenty of advice from experts and fellow enthusiasts, surf the web widely, and possess good reference books -- so our aim is not to generally reproduce or repackage basic information here.
For material that's publicly available elsewhere, we'll refer to it only as needed, allowing you to pursue the primary source. Especially for resources on the internet or still in print, it only makes sense to point you there. We'd rather focus on new research and collective findings, trying to unlock the mysteries that define this field and keep us puzzled, broke, and off the streets.
